Senior IT-Infrastructure Security Engineer (m/f/d)

Your mission

As Senior IT Infrastructure Security Engineer (m/f/d) at Kipu Quantum, you’ll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our IT infrastructure. In this dynamic position, you’ll collaborate closely with IT and development teams to design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge security solutions that keep our systems robust, reliable, and fully aligned with industry standards. As a leader in this space, you’ll spearhead critical security initiatives, driving impactful projects that ensure our infrastructure remains a step ahead of emerging threats. As Senior IT-Infrastructure Security Engineer (m/f/d) at Kipu Quantum your responsibilities essentially consist of:

  • Design and implement robust security measures for networks, systems, and cloud infrastructure
  • Monitor and address security incidents, ensuring thorough investigations and effective remediation
  • Conduct advanced vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure application and service deployments
  • Stay informed on emerging security trends, threats, and technologies, applying best practices
  • Provide training and guidance on security protocols to team members
  • Lead security audits and ensure compliance with relevant standards

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, cyber security, IT security or a related field resp. comparable qualifications
  • Sound experience as specialist in IT security and network administration or a related field, ideally in a start-up environment
  • Extensive knowledge of network and system security principles
  • Proven experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM
  • Strong familiarity with cloud security; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) would be highly desirable
  • Experience in leading security projects and initiatives
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills combined with strong communication and leadership abilities 
  • True startup mindset; hands-on, driven, resilient. As we are a young venture, we all must wear different hats and contribute to different aspects of the business
  • Excellent command of English is necessary, and German is a plus
