We are seeking a Scientific Programming Intern in our Broomfield, CO location.
n- Apply previous experience and expertise to drive breakthroughs to challenging trap design & ion transport problems
- Refinement and refactoring of current numerical tools
- Work with numerical physics leader to define and execute key projects
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program minimum & graduate after May 2025
- Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. person (defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status)
- Proficiency in one or more compiled languages such as C, Fortran, Java, Rust preferred
- Experience interfacing compiled libraries with Python, for example via ctypes or f2py
- Experience modeling a variety of physical processes including electrostatics
- Experience related to computational techniques such as convex/non-convex optimization
- Familiarity with software configuration, delivery, and deployment tools like Git
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Individuals who are results-oriented and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done despite competing priorities
- Good interpersonal skills, verbal and written
