Quality Control Technician (2429-QC)

LIGENTEC is a young, dynamic and strongly growing company, headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, near EPFL, close to the shore of Lake Geneva. We are developing Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) to world-leading performance with our customers for applications in Quantum Technologies, LiDAR, Space, Biosensors and more.

To support our growth, we are looking for a:

Quality Control Technician

Tasks

In this role, you are the final quality control gate and you ensure the delivery of known good dies of integrated photonic chips to our customers.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform chip sorting from the wafer to the trays with automated or manual equipment
  • Conduct quality control/visual inspection with an optical microscope and digital camera
  • Produce reports after quality control
  • Carry out handling and packaging of sorted chips in a clean room environment
  • Manage stock of raw materials and fabricated goods
  • Assist engineering team with technical support tasks

Requirements

  • Meticulous attention to detail, cleanliness, tidiness and a strong work ethic.
  • A technical education or equivalent by experience in the semiconductor, electronics or watch industry.
  • Passionate about technology and enjoy working with state-of-the art equipment.
  • Experience with a cleanroom environment, tool operation, maintenance, and safety.
  • Ability to execute a task with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate openly with the other team members.
  • Work residence permit for Switzerland or EU citizenship.
  • Working proficiency in English.
