Postdoc in Rydberg-atoms Quantum Sensing (QUASAR project)

The Department of Physics of Bari UNIBA-POLIBA is seeking a well-qualified and motivated postdoctoral researcher who wishes to improve her/his experimental skills by developing Rydberg-atom-based RF electric field quantum sensors. A 1-year position at POLIBA, with possible renewal, is funded within the project QUASAR—”Quantum ultra-wideband atomic sensor for space applications and reconnaissance” by the NQSTI—National Quantum Science and Technology Institute, the Italian Hub on Quantum Technologies. Research will be carried out at the Department of Physics in Bari, in collaboration with the local AQuTech group and the company Thales Alenia Space Italy (TASI), based in Rome. International collaboration with other EU research centers and universities is also expected. The postdoctoral position will begin in December 2024, or as soon as the ideal candidate is identified.
