Master’s Intern, Global Outreach
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Master’s Intern to join our Global Outreach team. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Global Outreach, this role will be instrumental in expanding SandboxAQ’s presence at industry conferences, think tanks, and global forums. The intern will also contribute to positioning SandboxAQ executives as leaders in AI and quantum spaces while assisting in creating strategies to build a robust ecosystem around our technologies.
This position is ideal for someone with a passion for frontier technology, business strategy, and building ecosystems who thrives in fast-paced environments and is comfortable working with ambiguity.
What You’ll Do
- Industry & Market Analysis:
Create detailed, concise summaries on market trends and industry developments for SandboxAQ leadership. Stay updated on AI and quantum technology advancements and geopolitical factors that could impact the ecosystem. - Thought Leadership & PR Management:
Lead the identification and prioritization of key conferences, think tanks, and roundtables where SandboxAQ executives can contribute to high-impact discussions, aligning opportunities with the company’s strategic goals and maximizing ROI. Supplement outreach efforts to ensure consistent, targeted visibility and thought leadership engagements that reinforce the broader company narrative and position SandboxAQ as a leader in its field. - Presentation & Research Support:
Collaborate with the Vice President of Global Outreach to shape and execute a content strategy that aligns with the company’s broader goals and immediate priorities. Develop impactful presentations around AI and quantum technologies, ensuring that all collateral supports this strategy, targets key audiences, and advances the company’s momentum. This includes crafting decks, distilling complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives, and tailoring messages for diverse stakeholders such as board executives, university professors, and government officials. - Strategic Ecosystem Development:
Work on the development of an ecosystem strategy, integrating both advocacy and commercial perspectives. Help identify and nurture relationships with commercial and capital partners and partners, and conduct market research to position SandboxAQ’s portfolio companies for success. - Special Projects:
Provide on-demand support to executive leadership in scaling SandboxAQ’s strategic presence, including the CEO, by quickly jumping onto high-priority projects requiring strategic insights and analytical rigor.
About You
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master’s or postgraduate degree
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong interest and/or background in AI, quantum technologies.
- Excellent analytical, research, and presentation-building skills.
- 4+ years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or other business strategy role
- Ability to synthesize complex concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
- Multicultural perspective and service leadership mindset with strong interpersonal skills adept at working cross-functionally and managing relationships across diverse teams
- Willingness to travel and work in dynamic, fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholders from executives to academic professionals.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice to Haves
- Experience in public relations, event management, or advocacy.
- Familiarity with quantitative modeling and data-driven decision-making.
- Speaks 2+ languages
- Previous exposure to technology ecosystems, venture capital, or market research.
- Startup experience in fast growing environment
The US base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be $60k-$70k per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role may be eligible for annual discretionary bonuses and equity.
