We are seeking an Advanced Electrical Engineer.  As an Advanced Electrical Engineer at Quantinuum, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and troubleshooting the electronics in our quantum computers. You will have the opportunity to learn about and impact the rapidly changing field of quantum computing. We are seeking candidate’s adept in multiple fields, including analog/low noise circuit design, PCB design, control theory, lab experience, manufacture, and test. This Electrical Engineering position will focus on the design, analysis, and test of analog and digital control systems. The position allows for some work from home but will be primarily on site at our Broomfield, Colorado location. All employees should work at their assigned location; however, this role may offer the opportunity to work remote, with approvals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & model closed loop control systems
  • Perform schematic capture, analysis, and simulations of analog circuits
  • Perform first article testing in the lab for new designs
  • Successfully complete projects on-time with limited supervision
  • Work closely with cross functional teams including mechanical engineers, software engineers, optical engineers, & scientists to develop control systems for our quantum computers
  • Work in an R&D and rapid prototyping environment


YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree Minimum
  • Minimum 3+ year of industry experience as an electrical engineer
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person. defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status


WE VALUE:
  • Masters/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of industry experience in an engineering or R&D environment
  • Experience working with optical systems
  • Background in control theory and signal processing
  • Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following:
  • Analog circuit design, analysis, & test
  • Amplifiers, passive/active filtering,
  • analog and/or digital control loops, PID controllers
  • Signal processing, DSP
  • low-noise design techniques and measurements
  • Background in RF electronics design and test
  • Extensive schematic entry and board layout experience (Altium PCB software preferred)
  • Testing and characterization of electronics, including use of advanced test equipment
  • Strong communication skills and “right size” design documentation
