Information Security Analyst

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Information Security Analyst to join our team. Based in either London or Cambridge, you will play a key role in protecting Quantinuum’s intellectual property by managing the tools and systems that monitor, detect, and respond to security threats. Your focus will span both on-premises Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems and cloud-based solutions, while ensuring the security of our remote workforce. This role is ideal for someone passionate about threat hunting, data analysis, and continuously improving security practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, manage, and maintain the SIEM system. 
  • Collaborate with business units to develop and optimize use case scenarios for SIEM. 
  • Manage and enhance endpoint malware detection and prevention tools. 
  • Provide expert end-user support when security controls impact workflows. 
  • Work cross-functionally to reduce risks while maintaining operational efficiency. 
  • Maximize the effectiveness of existing security tools and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Perform vulnerability scanning and assist with security control assessments. 
  • Contribute to Cloud Security Reviews and improve information security awareness across the company. 
  • Develop and report key operational metrics for informed decision-making. 


YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Information Security, with hands-on skills in SIEM and endpoint security tools.

  • Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 
  • Passionate about continuous learning and staying up to date with the latest security trends. 
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and multicultural environment. 
  • Solid understanding of software development, deployment, and securing network architectures. 
  • Demonstrated expertise with on-premises and cloud-based systems, including Azure and AWS. 
  • Familiarity with incident response plans, and security across multiple operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux). 
  • Relevant certifications such as (ISC)², ISACA, CEH, SANS are highly desirable. 
  • Familiarity with endpoint detection and prevention tools. 
  • Experience working in fast-paced, technology-driven environments, especially startups. 
  • A strong commitment to customer service and employee satisfaction. 
  • Ability to create documentation and design workflows to enhance workplace support. 
  • Capacity to work autonomously while engaging with a remote, distributed team. 
  • Innovative, results-driven, and self-motivated. 
  • An excellent communicator who knows when to escalate issues. 
  • Adaptability to the needs of a fast-moving business environment
