Quantinuum is seeking to hire an accomplished Software Engineer for our cloud platform, nexus.quantinuum.com The Cambridge-based Nexus team supports quantum researchers at every stage of an experiment, making working on quantum computers as easy as sending an email.

In this role, you will develop and deliver application services for our quantum computing platform primarily using Python and Rust. These services are deployed via Docker and Kubernetes hosted in AWS. Our software engineers are responsible for the full lifecycle of their code, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable with the fundamentals of deploying and monitoring their code.

The ideal candidate for this role will be comfortable working with subject matter experts to understand their needs and collaborating to develop solutions. As part of a company that’s growing rapidly, there are plenty of opportunities to lead on new initiatives and work alongside experts in new ways.

The ideal candidate will have experience in:

  • Delivering a live service/platform to customers
  • Developing in Python
  • Working with PostgreSQL or similar database technologies
  • Working with Terraform or other provisioning tools
  • Deploying software to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure etc

It would be desirable to have:

  • Experience working in Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of/Interest in Quantum Computing
